Fox in the Little Forest

Last week our daughter was out at the barn when she called to let us know that a fox was on our door steps! Of course we were afraid to go out because of rabies. So I took these photos through the front door window. He looks healthy to me, what do you think? After a while he left.

Aren't you lucky to have such an auspicious visitor. He's quite pretty. I understand they are solitary creatures and that humans interest them.

Do you think he's hungry for chicken? I hope not! He's cute, and skinny.

Foxes generally come out at night. One during the day I would be leary of.

We just had a sick woodchuck we had to call someone to come get out of our yard. Don't know if it was rabid or not...but he was definitely not right!

He's probably planning on some nice fried chicken. The red fox is mostly nocturnal but it isn't althogether unusual for them to come out during the day. Either way, I'd keep my distance. The pictures are nice.

He looks pretty calm to me. I always like the foxes. They are pretty and always seem so curious. It's good you got a picture of him before he ran away!

I would guess he or she was hungry or thirsty. They usually show up if they are hungry, thirsty or hurt or injured. I say you are lucky to have this picture.

Warning. They love chickens and will if possible at all, get in your chicken house and take a chicken.

Thanks for visiting.

I also like your new picture.

How fun to live among the flora and fauna from God in your little Forest and Farm. Glad you chose to stay safe, and I do hope your Chickens are safe also.

I've always like foxes, but then again I'm not raising chickens. Nice shots.
