I'll be Watching You - pls click on the photo!

To give you a break from my 'weather pictures', I tell you something about the chickens! They are happy, that the snow melted and that they can go outside again, for a while at least. They do in fact watch me. They are curious. They are aware when I am outside and they like to see what I am doing. The days are longer again, so they started to lay more eggs which are really big by now. XL size eggs!! I always say 'Thank you' to them ;-)

"XL size eggs" is good, as you can swallow the eggs (I love it)

That chicken really does have his (or her, I guess) eye on you. They have such pretty feathers! Lucky you to have all those eggs now.

Oh, thanks for the photo of your chickens!! Mellimaus has mentioned them occasionally in her blog, but this is the first time I've gotten to see them! How fun it must be to have fresh eggs right outside your door. I hope to be this lucky soon, too! :-)

We're starting to get eggs from our layers again too, after many weeks without any! "Thank you, girls!" is what I always tell them.

I enjoy a lot these pastoral scenes and country life style. It's very peaceful and get one's strength back. How many chickens do you have?

Sure the chickens look happy when the snow has melted.
How do you keep them warm in the chicken house? Do you have heaters?
