Still Winter....

This tree lies right next to our house. My husband had to take it down last summer. You can see it lies across the creek which is frozen. It is still very cold. A lot of ice!

(Thank you for all your well wishes from yesterday for our upcoming restaurant. We hope to open in about 3 or 4 months. We are still looking for a cook!! It will happen. One day at a time...I'll keep you posted.)

Dieser Baum liegt direkt neben unserem Haus. Letzten Sommer musste ihn mein Mann umhauen.

(Vielen Dank fuer alle eure guten Wuensche gestern fuer unser geplantes Lokal.

I'm afraid I can't help you with the cooking, unless you like Shepherd's Pie every day! LOL

You will find a cook I am sure. I hope you get one who knows your country's dishes and how to prepare them.

I am in awe of you and your adventures.

Hi Abram, thanks for your comment. yes, we will either find a German cook or an American cook, but he/they will cook acc.to the recipes we give him. I am presently collecting the recipes and writing down my own. I will 'quality check' !! Actually, I am also test cooking right now. It will be ok (I tell myself daily ;-))

BURRR!

Good luck on your search. It will work out. Maybe you can check with students of any culinary schools near you?

The log looks a bit slippery for crossing the creek right now. But it won't be long before that will be fun to do.

And coming from the Rhine area - how much you must miss it!

Cold freezes all, and spring the tree is still beautiful. I hope that you will find a cook, I do not know if it is easy to find in your region a German cook?
