Fox on the Prowl in our Paddock Yesterday Morning

It is still very cold here and the white on the ground is all ICE!!

Ein Fuchs! Na was mag er bei Euch suchen?

Uh oh, reminds me of a song my father used to sing...

Look out, chickens! And kitty cats!

Beautiful it is the fox, but it must be attracted by your henhouse

A fox - wow! Amazing capture with your camera! Did you chase him away or did he just leave on his own?

My daughter saw this fox yesterday morning and I shot the photos through our window. Afterwards I stepped just outside the door and yelled at him and he ran away. I agree with Olivier, he probably smelled our hens. But I also feared for the lives of our sweet kittens!!

Foxes are such beautiful animals. I love their red coats. It's good your chickens are safe in their coop!

Wow, that's a very nice male fox..
Fox hunt for any small animals like squirrels, rats, mice and young racoons as well as ducks, chickens, geese and others.
Kittens, perhaps..
Yesterday, I have found fox footprints in front of our house.
They come quite often to our village and we love to see them.
cheers from Canada

He is a pretty fox but I'm glad he didn't get your animals. We saw a fox while we were out riding our bikes. He was standing by the railroad tracks just staring at us. I wish I would've had the camera.

Good luck with your restaurant. Will you have sauerkraut and dumplings on the menu? That's a New Year's Day tradition in my husbands family.

Scream! Hide chickens and kittens!

When I see a shot like this I can't help but think of the Walt Disney movie "The fox and the hound" It was a delightful movie!

You get all kinds of great shots where you live...better have that camera ready all the time!

"Fox went out on a chilly night...
He waited for the moon for to give him light..."

I thought of the song too! (except for that fox was after the grey goose)

We have lots of urban foxes in London now. We have a den at the bottom of our garden, and they have done lots of damage. They don't seem shy like they used to.
