View of my Hometown Kiedrich

When we arrived in Kiedrich last week we rightaway went out for dinner with friends and family. The restaurant is nestled in the forest outside of the village. This is the view we had.
In the background, behind the church, you see the Rhine valley. The ruin on the left is called "Scharfenstein". I showed it before. It is approx. 900 years old. The building on the right is an old mill.

Thank you so much for these wonderful pictures of your homeland ~~ what did you have to eat at dinner in such a lovely spot?

My husband and I made 'research' for our German restaurant! We ate different 'Schnitzels'...pork steaks with different kinds of gravy.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing this. I need to look at a map to see where Kiedrich is.

I see it. My parents once lived near Stuttgart. My mother was afraid to have her baby in an army hospital so she flew back just before I was born. I like to joke that I was 'made in Germany'.
