This castle is the Youth Hostel of the Rhine-City Bacharach, it is called "Burg Stahleck".
When I was a teenager I spent a night here with my church youth group and when my oldest son was in first grade we spent a night there with his class (and I was a chaperone) Isn't it amazing? I remember it was a lot of fun to 'live' in a castle.

Das ist die Burg Stahleck, die Jugendherberge von Bacharach am Rhein.
Als Teenager war ich hier eine Nacht mit unserer Frohschar-Gruppe und als mein aeltester Sohn in der ersten Klasse war kam ich mit als Begleitperson, auch fuer eine Nacht. Es war super, mal auf einer Burg zu 'wohnen'. Ist das nicht toll?

How lucky that such a beautiful place is open as a Youth Hostel and not as an expensive hotel for only the rich. Wow.
