Yesterday Abby and I went for our walk in the woods. It was the first time since she was sick that we went out for a longer walk. She was so happy in the snow! She rolled around in it for a long time... She made 'snow angels' I guess!!
I am glad she is feeling much better! Two weeks ago she was in the hospital because of an inflamed stomach lining.
Gestern war ich mit Abby im Wald. Es war unser erster laengerer Spaziergang seit sie krank war. Sie hatte so viel Spass im Schnee! Ganz lange ist sie darin herumgerollt und hat "Schnee-Engel" gemacht!! Ich bin froh, dass es ihr nun besser geht.

Oh I am so glad for Abby that she is feeling much better and was so happy to be alive and able to play in the snow.
Do you know what caused her to have an inflamed stomach lining? I sure hope it wasn't some of that pet food that was made in China that has been causing lots of problems with pets, especially cats.
Abby is a beautiful dog. I wish I could get one to replace our Autumn Eve who died in 2006. I miss her so much but my wife says we don't want another dog and we don't want to have to go through another separation episode.
But maybe time will make it possible.

We don't know what made her sick. I assume she ate something bad in the woods. She really was very sick for a while.
Yes, dogs are so much fun and good companions!! We do love them so much and it is hard to part from our pets.
I am so glad she is feeling better. This is exactly how my labs (even the 12 y/o) love the snow!

I didn't know Abby was sick. I'm glad she's feeling better. Jake used to LOVE to roll in the snow like that and get it all over his face. I miss him tons, but would never not get another dog because his death made me sad...like you said, "dogs are so much fun and good companions!"
She sure looks like she's having fun. I have been a bad dog owner. Sherman hasn't been out much.
Do you cross country ski? Maybe we should go up to Claudia's to ski sometime. I haven't done it in about 20 years...but I think it would be fun.
