Last weekend my husband started building a chicken coop. It will be moveable so the chickens have fresh grass every so often, because it will have a fence attached to it. The roof is still missing...everything takes time!
Letztes Wochenende hat mein Mann angefangen ein bewegliches Huehnerhaus zu bauen. Man kann dann die Huehner zu verschiedenen Grasstellen rollen; ein Zaun wird auch daran befestigt werden, sodass die Huehner immer mal frisches Gras kriegen. Das Dach fehlt noch....alles braucht seine Zeit!

You husband is very handy! Those chickens are lucky to have such a nice coop, and a moveable one too! Yes, you'll have to give us updates on the progress and when they move into their new home.
Hey, you think he'll make us one when he's done with yours? :) I tried to talk my husband into the movable kind, but ours is more simple and they will be able to go in and out of the barn into their own little yard. We're hoping to be done with it this weekend. Our chickens are quite big already!

Da fühlen sich die Hühner bestimmt wohl, wenn sie denn nur schon da wären. Oder sind sie in der Zwischenzeit schon in ihr neues Heim eingezogen?

Was für Hühner habt ihr? Ich habe seit kurzer Zeit einen bunten Hühnerhof - Sussex, Amrocks und Marans. Aber alles noch Jungtiere. Eier sollen sie ab Juli legen. Vorher hatten wir Zwergbarnevelder.
Für die Neuen Musste ich auch ein neues Hühnerhaus bauen. Jetzt ist es fertig - mit blauen Fenstern und schwedenrot gestrichen. Ein Luxushotel. Werde es demnächst noch einmal im Blog vortstellen.

Wir haben 15 Kueken, und so viel ich weiss sind es 5 verschiedene Sorten von Huehnern. Mein Mann hat sie ausgesucht u er kennt auch die Namen. Ich leider noch nicht. Vielleicht werde ich sie spaeter alle einzeln mal vorstellen.
