These are the chicks shortly after they arrived. They seemed happy! The red light comes from the heat lamp that is hanging over the box to keep them warm. They need the warmth, especially since it SNOWED last night, we got about 3 or 4 inches, and it is still snowing and it is supposed to snow until tomorrow night!! Das waren die Kueken kurz nach ihrer Ankunft. Sie sind scheinbar happy! Das rote Licht kommt von der Heizlampe die ueber der Kiste haengt um sie warm zu halten.Das haben sie auch noetig, denn ueber Nacht sind hier ca. 12 cm Schnee gefallen und es schneit noch, soll weiterschneien bis Montag Abend!

They're cute! We have our chicks too! We have some that are 6 weeks old and some that are almost 3 weeks old (we lost a few in the first shipment), and boy do they make a mess. Hopefully we'll get rid of this snow soon so they can move to the barn!! But it has to be warm long enough so Dave can build their coop!
