Fun in the Sun

Yesterday afternoon it was sunny and the temperature was pleasent. I went for a walk with the dog and as you can see it was a happy time. Lateron the snow and ice from our garage came crashing down! That is always impressive! Look at those big icy snow-pieces! Some people are commenting on the blog that winter is just too long up here, and sometimes I feel the same, but on days like yesterday, it just feels right. After all, the calendar still shows winter. We are used to it up here. Like I've said before, we do have snow from Dec. to March. That's how it is. I live her since 14 years and I have gotten used to it. Spring is right around the corner!! Like with many other things in life, it is a matter of attitude and how you look at it. You can look at it as negative or as positve. I like the snow. It is clean and crisp and light. Much better than mud....however, I am afraid, mud season is coming soon!! Lucikly that never lasts long.

Yes, think positively and take up snowshoeing or skiing! We had a TON of snow just like that slide off of our roof yesterday. It sounded like thunder and then a big crash. It startled Koty and he ran to the door and did one cute little bark.

Cool pictures! Did you see and hear the snow slide off or just see it afterwards?

Hi Mike, nice to hear from you!
No, I didn't see the snow slide, but I did hear it! And the cats heard it, too. It was funny, they both sat outside and looked in the direction of the garage.

Well, winter is like having a JOB. If you love Winter then you never tire of it.

If you LOVE your Job then you never have to go to work.

When the sun shines we all feel better.

Thanks for your visits to my blog. Always a pleasure to see you there.

Hating winter will not make it go away, will it? I do love NY and the changings seasons. One season makes me appreciate the next all the more.
I just saw a squirrel running up my tree. I wonder how they hold on with all that ice on the branches?

Abby is smiling in those pictures!! It looks like she enjoyed her run tremendously. I'm so glad she's feeling better now.

Yes...it is a part of our life here in upstate NY. When I was a child I didn't understand why they showed trees budding and flowers growing on the page for March in one of our picture books. (it was a book about months of the year)

I agree the snow is beautiful and as we don't get any at all here it is so nice to see your wonderful pictures. But I'm pleased it is beginning to break and Spring is coming!!

I thank for the visit and your good reasons.
All we love the snow, here in the south him we needed because to us it is absent from a lot of phases of our life. Makes patience in certain weeks in few days will come and there the spring.
We wish and hope!
The photographs with the dog in action, amazing!

The snow picture reminds me of an earthquake!
Great pic!

I'd rather have snow over mud, too.
