Every day around 5 pm our horse gets her 'dinner'. It is fun to watch how our daughter and the horse interact. It's been almost a year, that we own a horse, but it is still 'new' to me. I am still amazed at times that we are actually doing 'it', because many years we always thought "should we get a horse"....I have to say, it is a joy, but that is easy for me to say, because M. does almost all the work!!
Jeden Tag, so gegen 5 Uhr bekommt unser Pferd sein 'Abendessen'. Es macht Spass zu beobachten, wie unsere Tochter mit ihrem Pferd umgeht, die Beziehung die sie haben zu beobachten. Wir haben Daisy-Mae nun fast ein Jahr, aber noch immer ist es 'neu' fuer mich. Ich bin noch immer ueberrascht, dass wir uns wirklich ein Perd angeschafft haben, nachdem wir so lange darueber nachgedacht haben. Ich muss sagen, es macht viel Freude, aber ich habe auch leicht reden, denn die Hauptarbeit liegt bei unserer Tochter!!

Einfach traumhaft die Naturaufnahmen...
Vor 14 Jahren habe ich die Staaten verlassen, nachdem ich dort für 3 Jahre in Tennessee gelebt habe...
Bei Eurem Pferd musste ich erst mal lachen... Meine Freundin wollte ihre Tochter Daisy-Mae nennen, es wurde dann aber eine Annie-Mae...

Daisy Mae is well taken care of :) Your daughter adores her :) it is nice to see them two happy together, I am sure it brings youa world of joy.
Ich finde es toll, dass Ihr die Möglichkeit habt, Euch und Eurer Tochter diesen Traum aller jungen Mädels nach einem eigenen Pferd zu erfüllen. Und Ihr habt ja da, wo Ihr wohnt, auch die besten Voraussetzungen dafür (auch wenn der Winter ewig dauert!:) )

But horses are such neat people! i think horses are some of the best animals around. I loved having a horse on the farm and riding everyday! Even cleaning the stall wasn't so bad.
What a hard worker Mell is! And what a happy horse. I loved the photo of Daisy with the one eye raised, as if she is saying, "Come now, what is all this fuss about. Just feed me, ok."
I'm also impressed that Daisy doesn't seem to chew wood either. Your barn still looks perfect and brand new!

Ihr habt wirklich richtigen Schnee!
Den hatten wir dieses Jahr in Rotenburg überhaupt nicht. Dabei finden die Islandpferde das ganz toll. Da wird dann aus meinem eher faulen Pony ein Abticker. Dass Melissa so gut für ihr Pferd sorgt ist beeindruckend.
