Welcome to my Blog! Thanks for stopping by! I would like to show my friends and family the beautiful world around me. I was born in Germany but live in Upstate New York for 19 years now. I love it! <>Das Los ist mir gefallen auf liebliches Land; mir ist ein schönes Erbteil geworden Psalm 16:6 <> *Click on the photos and they enlarge!*

Beautiful surroundings. Very nice photos.
Very pretty. I can hear the birds chirping and feel the cool breeze. Good thing I'm wearing my sweatshirt and have my cup of coffee close by. It'll warm up in no time and then I'll go for a walk in the forest...
Welcome back! It looks like you had a wonderful time. Loved your beach photos! That certainly is a glorious morning photo.
This is just beautiful! Oh how I would just love to be there on your front porch, sipping a cup of coffee, listening to the birds and insects, feeling the sun and morning with kisses greeting me hello!
You must love it there!
I will just admire your beautiful photos!
Your area is lovely and quite peaceful I bet. I live in the city so I can only imagine the beauty you wake to every morning.
yeah, everything they said, and do you chicken's wake you up yet? Rooster crowing and all that? I'm following Martha, hope she has a compass!
une lumiere feerique, superbe.
a fairy-like, superb light.
Gudl! The first pic: you captured God saying Hello! WONDERFUL PHOTO!
Thanks for sharing!
Very nice photos. You are so lucky to have such splendid surroundings. We are, more or less, stuck where we are and at our age there is no chance of moving and starting over. I just envy those who are starting now, and have this modern technology to help in so many areas. Listening to wildlife is nice and you know all of that.
How are the chickens doing?

Thanks for asking about the chickens!
They are doing fine. They are happy in their moveable henhouse. We roll them to different spots in the grass and they are happy. They are full grown, but don't lay eggs yet. It will be another couple of months before they lay eggs.
Today we gave 5 of the 15 chickens away. We just had to many, so we gave them to the Amish people that built our barn as a gift. They cannot raise tiny chicks because they don't have electricity for the heat lamp.
We have only females, no rooster!
I love these! (and I'm not even a morning person) :)
Tolle Bilder und super Ausblick. Ihr seid zu beneiden
Thanks for the update on the chickens. Mother used to leave a light bulb lit in the chicken house at night to get the hens to lay. ANd it worked but I think she only did it when the hens had stopped laying eggs for some reason.

Nice of you to give some chickens away! I'm sure they appreciate it!
Wow, I like all three of these. I especially like the first one. It really captures how it feels to look into the bright light.
