Our deck is pretty high because of the way the house is built at a hill. It really has the feel of a treehouse! The leaves are falling now....soon we see our creek again that runs at the bottom.
Weil unser Haus an einen Hang gebaut ist, sitzt die Terrasse ziemlich hoch. Es erinnert wirklich an ein Baumhaus wenn man da draussen ist. Nun fallen die Blaetter ...bald sehen wir unseren Bach wieder, der da unten fliesst.

I don't deserve credit for that as I used this web site. Sometimes I'm smart enough to come up with my own words...but not all the time.

I guessed he was your nephew. Afterall...you are "Tante Gu"...the word "Tante" is the same in the netherlands for Aunt. My mother's family is from there.
I hope your grandchildren learn to speak German...many times the languages get lost. That is the case in my own family.
Did M and A like camp? My Allen thought it was cold.
