This shows breakfast time on New Year's Day when our 'kids' came down from the mountain...they were camping! Trying out new camping stuff! Dad mad his famous french toast to everybody's liking!
Hier sieht man Fruehstueck am Neujahrsmorgen als unsere "Kinder" vom Berg runterkamen, auf dem sie uebernachtet hatten um ihre neuen Campingsachen auszuprobieren! Dad machte French Toast das immer so lecker schmeckt.

Whenever I think of the new year, I am reminded of this song. We used to sing it in church every year in the last service. Another year...

Frohe Weihnachten!

"Tauet Himmel den Gerechten, Wolken regnet ihn herab", rief das Volk in bangen Naechten, dem Gott die Verheissung gab einst den Mittler selbst zu sehen, und zum Himmel einzugehen. Denn verschlossen war das Tor, bis der Heiland kam hervor.

Ich bin so dankbar, dass der Heiland kam.... das Tor zum Himmel nicht mehr verschlossen ist. ...
Hast du Ihn als Heiland, als Mittler angenommen? Ihn in dein Herz eingeladen?
Es ist so wichtig!!

In diesem Sinne bete ich, dass alle meine Leser darueber nachdenken u vielleicht ein echtes Weihnachten in ihrem Herzen stattfindet, wo der Herr der Welt Einzug haelt, Jesus, der Christus.

I am so glad that the Savior came and heaven is open for us who accepted him.

Wiesbaden Germany

During our visit we spend one afternoon there.
You can see the world's largest Cuckoo Clock with my Mom in front of it! The other photos show the Theater of Wiesbaden.
Waehrend unseres Deutschland Aufenthaltes verbrachten wir einen Nachmittag in Wiesbaden. Hier sieht man meine Mutter vor der gr. Kuckucksuhr. Ausserdem Fotos vom Staatstheater.

Lunch at the Abbey

One day we treated ourselves to a fine lunch at the former Abbey Kloster Johannisberg, that was converted into a fine hotel.Sign of the times I guess... People used to marry in church and now they just celebrate their wedding in a former church... But nevertheless, the place is very nice.
Letzten Freitag haben wir im ehemaligen Kloster Johannisberg zu Mittag gegessen, das nun zu einem feinen Hotel umgewandelt ist. Das ist ein Zeichen der Zeit.... Leute haben frueher in Kirchen geheiratet, heute wird darinnen gefeiert. ... Aber trotzdem, es war sehr schoen da u alles nett gestaltet.

Last Week on the Airplane...

Last week my hubby and I went to visit my Mom in Germany. On the way to Philadelphia we flew right over our lake! That was the first time for me that I saw this. Gary said he saw it many times, which is true, because he used to fly all the time.
Anyway, you can even see Main Street and if you wanted to our restaurant!
Letzte Woche sind Gary u ich nach Deutschland geflogen um meine Mutter zu besuchen. Auf dem Weg nach Philadelphia sind wir direkt ueber unseren See geflogen. Das habe ich so noch nie gesehen. Gary sagt, er hat es oft so erlebt, er ist ja auch staendig durch die Welt geflogen! Jedenfalls kann man sogar Main Street sehen u wenn man wollte auch unser Restaurant!
