Ring of Fire
Last night was the traditional 'Ring of Fire' around our lake. That is how the community celebrates the end of the summer. It was a wonderful summer night that we spent at our friend's house. The summer was way too short. Thankfully, next week the weather will still be hot.

I wonder what the fish think when they look up and see all the fires on the shore? End of the world or something else.
Interesting that you all do this.
Klasse
Wow, that is a REALLY cool photo, that second one! It looks almost photoshopped, because of the red everywhere but where the fire is, except it's not photoshopped. :D
GREAT shot!
I didn't know you could see the lake from your house. I'll have to look harder the next time I'm there.
What a neat community tradition.
LOL about abraham lincoln's comment!
What a wonderful tradition....
Did anyone play "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash ...??(((smile)))
Once a year on 4th of July, they let you build bond fires on the beaches of Santa Barbara. When we lived there years ago, the kids loves that night, bond fires, and fires works over the ocean.
belle photo, j'aime beaucoup cette architecture orientale.

Wow. That is really neat. How long has this tradition been going on?
Kristina, I hear this is going on since the mid 50s. It is a really nice tradition.
