We have Flowers, too ;-)

Last year I showed you this spot when with all the dandelion clocks, so now I decided to show you the field when it is in full bloom. I remember we had a discussion about dandelion, some people hate it, some love it.
I tell you, our chickens love it!! They get a portion of d. leaves every day. They are waiting at the gate for me to throw it in their cage.

Oh Gudl: I'm so ready to get my paints out, and one of the first painting I'm going to try is the pictures of your hens I took a few months ago.

This reminded me how pretty they are and what wonderful colors to watercolor.

LOL:)

Hi Gudl...first of all ...I love the chickens :)...the dandelions remind me of my childhood..When they were bright yellow, we would pick them and hold them under our chins...the sun would reflect the yellow onto our faces...nothing more...we thought it pretty...we were 5 years old at the time...When they went to seed we picked them and tried to blow all the seeds off at once...if we succeeded our wish would come true...Ah..childhood memories...

ooh, I love your chickens!
How fun? Maybe they're a handful, but they look quite wonderful from here.

I love the contrast! And my chickens and goats would love all those dandilions, too.

My kids love the fluff that they can blow everywhere!

Awww, your hens are lovely! They look like they're enjoying the sun, too. Do they eat the dandelion flower, too, or just the leaves?
